One of the most courageous things we can do at any point throughout the year is sit down and radically reflect. Self-reflection builds self-awareness. The more we become aware of what we are releasing, what motivates us, what inspires us, and what makes us feel good, the more we will show up authentically. We become less triggered by the actions or behaviours of those around us because our self-awareness is well-rooted. Self-discovery is the greatest gift we can offer ourselves and everyone around us. Authentically knowing ourselves allows us to understand what vibes and what doesn’t with our spirit.

2023 was an absolute blur. Some highlights were giving birth to my third daughter, starting a business, and celebrating 40 years in this lifetime. Understanding what time means to me and how to manage it intentionally continued to be a focus, among many others. As I reflect on the things that were, are, and will come, this is what I know for sure:

Show up as the person you want to be exactly as you are right now.

Release all judgements – especially of yourself.

Never give away your peace.

Comparison is the thief of gratitude.

Lean in.

Find beauty in the imperfection.

Know things will never be the same and it’s okay.

If it feels wrong, say no.

Embrace divine detours.

Be gentle with yourself.

The answer you’re looking for will always be found within. Trust yourself enough to follow your knowing.

Get out of your comfort zone.

Never speak badly about yourself; especially to yourself.

While you’re at it, never speak badly of another.

Let go of what you can’t control.

Gratitude is a choice.

Celebrate ALL victories.

Chase the dream; eventually, it will start chasing you.

Be kind to yourself.

Be kind to others.

When you like someone, tell them.

When you love someone, tell them.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Be 100% responsible for your life and how you process all of its experiences.

Let your intuition guide you.

Force nothing; either it flows or it goes.

Take the photo – you look great.

Slow down. The world is not in a hurry; you are.

Cherish yourself.

Cherish one another.

Be intentional. Only when we waste time does it feel limited.

Live with gratitude; love with grace.

Remember, life is beautiful.

And please, wear what you love.

It’s all energy.

To the woman who wore shorts this past summer for the first time in almost 15 years because she was inspired by something she saw in me, I see myself in you; and thank you for inspiring me to keep going.

To anyone that was encouraged or felt seen by any words that I shared this past year – thank you for being my reflection.

The more we authentically show up in our own lives, the more we inspire others to do the same. Let’s wear the clothes that help us to love our reflections.  Most of all; let’s heal the parts of ourselves that make us not want to look in the mirror at all. From here, we find ourselves. From here, we will find your personal style.

Remember, I’m not here to tell you how to dress. I’m here to offer guidance and inspiration so you begin to lean into the truth of who you are and dress from there. Live from there.

Discover your authentic truth and wear it.

It’s all energy.
